What a cool idea!

That’s what Picture this Post Editor Amy Munice thought the moment a description of Swiss International Airlines'  Flying Film Festival crossed the desk.

The idea is to support film makers worldwide, by creating a showcase for the documentaries they make to a relatively captive audience—viz. the passengers on SWISS' long haul flights in November and December.

This is the second staging of the festival—after its debut in 2015. This year’s film makers hail from Switzerland, Ukraine, Mexico, Japan, Italy, the UK and Germany.

A jury will select the winners of the festival in January.

Look for those results on these Picture this Post pages and also updates added to these reviews here on next venues where you can see these films after their Swiss Air launch.
