Recently, we’ve met many a Chicagoan enjoying top-notch performances of opera, dance  and theater who have the mistaken notion that Chicago’s thriving entertainment scene shuts down on Thanksgiving weekend.

Not so!

True, not much is happening on Thanksgiving Day proper (November 24), but there is no shortage of stellar entertainment of all kinds during that long holiday weekend.
