Suzanne Germann of Landmarks Illinois will speak about Illinois’s World War I memorials and monuments on Sunday, November 5th from 2:00 – 3:30 p.m at the Wilmette Historical Museum. Landmarks Illinois is conducting a statewide survey of monuments to veterans of the Great War in recognition of the 100th anniversary of the war.
The Museum is open from 1:00 to 4:30 p.m. on Sundays, so visitors will be able to browse its current exhibit “Over Here and Over There: Gross Point and Wilmette in World War I” before or after the lecture.
