Chicago Human Rhythm Project RHYTHM WORLD Preview – 27th Year!

Chicago Human Rhythm Project (CHRP) presents its 27th annual Rhythm World dance festival from July 17th through July 23rd. The festival, taking place at four different venues across Chicago, will showcase a wide variety of tap and percussive dance, from legends like Maurice Hines to graduates of CHRP’s Tap Scholar program.

The festival begins with on Monday, July 17th at the Jazz Showcase, featuring faculty dancers and an accompanying jazz trio. An improv tournament will follow on Tuesday, July 18th. On Wednesday, the teachers and students of Rhythm World will perform for free at Navy Pier’s Polk Bros. Performance Lawn.

Rhythm World’s centerpiece, The JUBA! Masters of Tap and Percussive Dance concerts, will take place on Friday, July 21st and Saturday, July 22nd at the Studebaker Theater.

Wednesday’s Navy Pier performance is free.
