ROAR, an installation of photographs focused on the power of protest by photographers Tish Lampert, Kisha Bari and Ginny Suss, is now on view online at Fotografiska New York. The installation includes images from social movements such as immigration rights, gun violence activism, the environmental movement, Black Lives Matter, abortion rights,Women’s rights and gender equality.
Fotografiska New York’s digital content hub, The Foto Sessions, also includes a video montage of Lampert’s protest photography inspired by her new book, We Protest: Fighting For What We Believe.
In addition, Fotografiska also presents Picturing the Fight, a two-part conversation series featuring Suss and Bari moderated by Fotografiska New York’s Director of Programming, Wendi Weinman. Suss and Bari discuss their passion for activism and how it impacts their work, humanizing protests and human rights issues through individual storytelling, and photographing protests during the COVID-19 era.
