A spokesperson says---
“...Flushing Town Hall invites audiences to gallop into the Year of the Red Horse with a lively, multidisciplinary celebration of the Lunar New Year, featuring exhibitions, performances, and artists from countries across Asia and the diaspora. While often cited as “Chinese New Year,” Lunar New Year is celebrated globally across multiple countries across Asia and Asian communities throughout the United States. New York City is home to the nation’s second-largest Asian population, and Flushing Town Hall’s annual Lunar New Year celebration is the city’s most diverse.
Each year, the Lunar New Year holiday commences with the first new moon of the lunar calendar and culminates fifteen days later on the first full moon. The Year of the Red Horse officially begins on February 17, 2026, to honor the seventh animal in the 12-year zodiac cycle, offering celebrants a powerful symbol of freedom, strength, and success..."
