“...South Asian classical Sitar and Tabla Recital by Ravi Chary, a distinguished sitar player and Grammy award nominee from Goa, India, known for his mastery in both Indian classical and fusion music. He will be accompanied by Amit Kavthekar, a groundbreaking Indian tabla player, renowned as the last ganda-bandhan (ordained disciple) of the legendary Ustad Alla Rakha and prominent disciple of the late Ustad Zakir Hussain.
Chary began his musical journey under the tutelage of his father, the late Pt. Prabhakar Chary, a noted tabla player and musicologist. His performances are marked by intricate rhythmic patterns and soulful improvisations, which have been captivating audiences worldwide.
