THE BUTTCRACKER: A NUTCRACKER BURLESQUE is a pandemic pivot from Chicago’s alternative retelling of the holiday classic. With burlesque, boylesque, drag, fire, belly dancing, ballet and more, the combination fairy tale and exotic trip to the Land of the Sweets also includes stand up comedy, original songs, and hip hop.

Clara is charged with the planning of the office holiday party. She hires a dancer named Drosselmeyer to entertain her coworkers, but the dance causes her to lose her job. Seeing her despair, Drosselmeyer gives her a gift of a tiny Nutcracker. Lodged inside its mouth is a piece of candy that upon consumption, whisks her away on a wild hallucinogenic trip from the boring holiday party to the seductive and luscious world of the Land of the Sweets.
