A spokesperson says---

“...four acclaimed pieces from Chamber Dance Project’s extensive repertoire:Chant, Ramblin’ Suite, Book of Stones and Berceuse, in addition to a world premiere, Murmur...

Chant, choreographed by Diane Coburn Bruning and Andile Ndlovu, opens on a resonant landscape of live Gregorian chant, forming a cathedral of sound, movement, and light that envelops and enraptures the audience. The chant, which is performed by a choir lead by acclaimed Conductor Scott Tucker, heightening the work’s immersive atmosphere and deepening the interplay between voice, music, and movement.

Ramblin’ Suite, commissioned by Atlanta Ballet and choreographed by Bruning, is a rousing, high-energy collaboration for 12 dancers, set to music composed and performed by Tony Award–winning string and bluegrass band The Red Clay Ramblers.

... Book of Stones, choreographed by Christian Denice, draws audiences into an atmospheric, ritual-like experience, set to original music by Jack Herrick and Bland Simpson of The Red Clay Ramblers, with vocalist Skyler Herrick’s haunting Kulning vocals.

The evening also marks the return of Berceuse, ...duet, first presented in 1994, that delivers a moment of quiet intimacy and sculptural beauty. The program concludes with the world premiere of Murmur by resident choreographer at Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre William Moore..."
