Eighth Blackbird, a Chicago-based music ensemble, opens their Winter 2021 Chicago Artists Workshop with Tarrey Torae. She’s appeared and written on two Grammy winning albums for her work with Kanye West and John Legend. 

Torae’s husband, J. Ivy, joins with songs from her upcoming album Catching Feelings. Event organizers comment, “Chicago bred, but southern at heart, Tarrey Torae’s melodic presence springs from the crossroads of city living, southern geniality, essential womanhood, and passionate soul.” The event will include an interview and a Q&A with the artist.
