Picture This Post– Intern vs. Volunteer

EVERYONE at Picture This Post is a volunteer-- the editor-in-chief, the publishers, all writers, editors, managers, and other assistants, ALL.**

Student volunteers are sometimes interns.  That is an arrangement students make with their school.  (Note: Amy Munice, Editor in Chief is your supervisor.)

Whether or not you are an official intern, Picture This Post devotes considerable attention to teaching students and recent graduates new skills, to the extent that this is of interest.  Ongoing attention is paid to evaluating our training systems and methods with an eye towards satisfying students' desires to learn, while simultaneously elevating the magazine's quality.

Picture This Post advertises all volunteer positions on portals like Handshake both as official internships and volunteer roles.  The roles described are identical -- with the exception of whether they are called an internship or simply a volunteer position.

School policies differ as to which roles they want to include or highlight.

This is an unpaid position, and will always be such. We are ALL volunteers.  There is no paid Picture This Post position at the end of an internship --- it does not exist.

**The sole paid position is the Picture This Post Webmaster-- who does programming and similar tech tasks.
