A spokesperson describes the event as follows:
“...The Boys from Syracuse was the first musical ever adapted from a Shakespeare play. Identical twins Antipholus of Syracuse and Antipholus of Ephesus were separated as children in a shipwreck. Both have servants, also twins, and both servants are named Dromio. Mishaps and mischief follow when the Syracuse twins travel to Ephesus and each twin is mistaken by merchants, wives, and mistresses. Confused partners, disgruntled courtesans, and outraged constables are left in the wake before this show’s tangled web is unraveled.
Based on William Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors, The Boys from Syracuse is often regarded as the best among Rodgers and Hart’s works. Popular songs include ‘Falling in Love with Love,’ ‘Sing for Your Supper,’ and ‘This Can’t Be Love.’..."
