A spokesperson says---
“...lost and wandering young man encounters a mysterious village enshrouded in twilight mist. The villagers begin saying goodbye to a fading Sun---personified as a radiant young woman. The young man is struck by love and then despair as she disappears into darkness. He joins the villagers as they prepare for the longest night of the year with their traditional dances and ceremonies. Then, at the darkest moment, the Sun reappears, faintly and then triumphantly, joining the young man and the villagers in celebration. The ballet will be accompanied live by the New Orleans’ Delachaise Ensemble, performing an evocative collection of Nordic folk music arranged by the Danish String Quartet..."
