For centuries, artists have explored the ways that the human past, present, and future can connect and collaborate in the visual world. Cuban-born Miami-based artist Sergio Garcia became connected with Picture This Post at Art Africa Miami in 2019 and continues to create multimedia mind-bending cultural pieces.

“While eliciting excitement and passion, I seek to disturb and awaken the animal part within. As part of the human condition, I do not see myself as a painter but as an explorer in the quest of the ‘inner’...” writes Garcia to Picture This Post. “...My journeys are tapped through the persistance of dreams, memories, archetypes, sex, passions, fears, obsessions, anthropology, super heroes, africanism, d.n.a., magic and psychology.”
