Primarily making oil-on-panel works, Toor creates views of young, queer Brown men living in New York City and South Asia— portraying imaginary versions of himself and his friends. Salman Toor: How Will I Know is part of the Whitney’s emerging artists program.

On November 16th at 6pm EST, Salmon Toor will host a public program via zoom where he will be speaking with artist Chitra Ganesh about the intersections in their artistic practices.
