TASHKENT METRO — Jewelcase Subway Stations

In total contrast to the seeming anti-aesthetic of Soviet era construction you find throughout the Eastern bloc, the Tashkent Metro Stations that date from that era  all seem to be variants of WOW.

 Don't be surprised when a proud local approaches to fill you in the historic and cultural background of where you are, especially in and around the the Kosmonavtlar stop by the Memorial for Cosmonauts.
